Eric Roberts, who played the Doctor arch-enemy the Master in the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie, today made his first on-screen appearance as the Master in 24 Years. The video, which was released today by Big Finish on their YouTube channel sees Roberts, 66, address viewers in a short 80-second video message where he explains how he longs for freedom after the Doctor trapped him in the eye of harmony in the 1996 TV Movie. The American actor then goes on to pronounce that, soon, he "Will be free!"

The video sets the scene for Eric Roberts return to the role as he stars in a new three-part box set produced by Big Finish, due for release next March. Chase Masterson act alongside him in the boxset (entitled Master!) the video poses as a teaser for and, although not much is known about the release, it is set to be a major event in the world of Doctor Who.
