Tony Selby dies aged 83

Actor Tony Selby, best known to Doctor Who fans for his role as Sabalom Glitz, has died.

Tony Selby passed away this weekend, it was reported earlier today. The actor, known for his role as Sabalom Glitz in Doctor Who between 1986 and 1987, was 83.

His management, LCM Limited, revealed the news on Twitter this afternoon accompanied by this message:   

"With great sadness we announce that actor Tony Selby passed away peacefully in London yesterday. In a career spanning 70 years in theatre, film and TV, Tony was highly respected and loved by family, friends and colleagues. His renowned sense of humour will be missed by us all."
